PHOTO GUIDELINES
Some general guidelines for taking your photo:
Try your best to follow the guidelines below. We'll try our best to make your photo work and will let you know if your photo isn't up to snuff. We've done this with enough tots to know that little ones move around a lot, and aren't so great with standing still. When in doubt, send your photo along, and we'll let you know if it'll work!
Take your photo with your subject:
In focus and against as solid a background as possible. Outdoors works, too. Your subject should be as still as possible, and fully in the frame. We want to see his/her full head and neck. Your charm will turn out the best if your subject is looking directly ahead in full profile (with his/her head fully turned to the side), with a closed mouth - unless you are okay with an open mouth in the final product.
If you're taking someone's picture on the sly:
We know that a lot of you are trying to take pics of your subject without them knowing. We find that simply sitting next to them at a gathering and taking shots of them from the side works. If they look at you or ask what you're doing, a "Look away! I want it to be candid!" works surprisingly well.
Send us a digital photo:
We recommend a jpeg or tif file under 300 dpi in size, but we'll do our best to work with what you send us. Once you've finished paying for your order, click "Return to Love & Victory" and you'll be instructed how to send us photos of your portrait subjects. Lose your way?
